Portfolio of Quality Educational Web Resources This is a compilation of reliable and useful web resources that are related to content areas I teach. We were asked to use Delicious, a social bookmarking site, to record and organize the web resources we located. Locating these assignments and record them in Delicious, has forced us to keep all of our web resource together in one place. We can continually add or remove resources, and we can locate resources based on topic and keyword.
When gathering my resources and recording them onto the Delicious site, I decided to organize my resources by content area, and other things I would look for. A complete list of my tags is below. When I was looking for additional resources that could be helpful to me and my students I used Thinkfinity, searching by subject area. I “googled” different units that I teach and looked for reliable and interesting sites that could be useful, and I spoke with other educators to see what sites they would recommend. Tags: Math

Curriculum Resources Teacher Resources Field Trips Reflection: When I first thought about completing this assignment, I was a little nervous.I was trying to figure out how I was going to identify 50 useful websites that I could use in my classroom. As soon as I started recorded web resources onto Delicious, I realized that I worried for no reason; web resources we coming from everywhere. In addition, it was nice to “have” to sit down and look for web resources. This is something many of us would like to do, but can never seem to find time. With this assignment I was able to locate and save multiple web resources in a place that I could access no matter where I was unlike “My Favorites” on my computer.
